In an Eldrazi deck this is brutal, turning spawn into 7/8's or even 15/16's !!!!!

This is much better than Overrun. In a monogreen deck, which will most likely have many elves to mana ramp and creatures like Leatherback Baloth who have at least 3 power, this already gives the same, If not more power than Overrun.
With all the mana you have available to you, It's easy to slap two Giant Growths on a 1/1 elf and give all your little elves +7/+7 and trample.

Love it! I totally get that Overrun is better, it obviously way more versatile, but this is for us casual multiplayer players. You have a beast deck or some ridiculous big, mean monster deck, this is the performance enhancing Overrun, the one that makes you bust out the calculator to find out how much you just swung for!

Gelatinous genesis using elves/defenders for 4 4/4s or even more, then plop down a khalni hydra for free the next turn and cast this. Swing for 48+ trample damage.

In my deck with Khalni Hydra and Primalcrux, this card easily outclasses Overrun. I agree with Keiya's comment about this card being superior. In monogreen, this card has the same cc as Overrun and despite what people think, this still works with weenie rush and better than Overrun. If you're using a bunch of green tokens chances are the monster making them is stronger than 3/3 by the time a many of the tokens are out. Furthermore with that many tokens the Hydra won't even cost anything over 4 most of the time and you get a minimum +8/+8 boost. If this is being used in multi-color, one colorless instead of another green is already an advantage since its easier to cast.
I was able to get a Primalcrux to 64/64 with one of these while everything else got to at least 30/30. Tell me how that's worse than Overrun.

With green having really cheap fatties, I would always prefer to run this instead of overrun, unless I were to use both. For one more mana, I can Primal Bellow or something of the sort, then use this, and that's just dangerous. At the very least, you double all of your creatures attack and maybe toughness.

@Temple_Garden:
Again with the whining. Overrun can be better than this in some instances, and in others this one will be better. I'll actually use both in the same deck.

Why are people complaining that this is "inferior" to Overrun? In most cases, it isn't; even in a weenie deck with a bunch of 1/1 creatures, the worst case scenario is you'll have a swarm of 2/2 creatures with Trample. Sure, Overrun is "better" in that case, but you've got plenty of options to boost Overwhelming Stampede, such as a single big creature like Khalni Hydra, Plated Slagwurm or even just boosting a creature with Giant Growth or Rancor beforehand. People who are bashing this card are probably bawwwwwwing for nothing more than nostalgic reasons.
Which, I don't know about you but a mana-ramp elf deck with a bunch of puny cards like Llanowar Elves, Elvish Visionary and Elvish Archdruid suddenly becomes a lot more scary when led by a Khalni Hydra and Overwhelming Stampede is slapped onto the field. I like overkill... (see all)

This works great with any of the Titans.

Completely broken. I don't see why you say it's not versatile enough. It's cheaper than Overrun and in green big creatures don't cost much. I mean, you get Obstinate Baloth for free on turn two if you're lucky enough to have a Ravenous Rats dropped on you; on turn four you play Garruk and his +1 ability. Use Garruks overrun the next turn, play this and voila. You have a +7/+7 AND a +3/+3 AND trample. That's at least one 14/14 creature with trample, and if you're not completely incompetent probably three, four other creatures. How is that not versatile enough? I swung my opponent from 20 to -132 because I had a Protean Hydra with Giant Growth and a ton of creatures to boot.
Yeah, it's casual, but heck!
