For how bad it is, I had a friend once who kept tossing it onto a White Knight. Caused a lot of problems for me on turn four, almost always had to chump the damned thing. And for that, I will always have respect for a card that at least does something, no matter how overcosted.

I think this card is a trap for new players. The plus 3 boost is very tempting, but sinking seven mana into this card for such a trivial effect is a complete waste. I regret to admit that I fell for its appeal at my prerelease, and it ended up costing me a game in which my equipped creature was excomunicated. Ouch!

This card is way overcosted. Bonesplitter gives you +2/+0 for 1 to cast and 1 to equip while this cost 5 more mana for a mere +1/+1 more.

If you have nothing better in limited, you could use this. otherwise, stay away.

"Core set is for beginner"... so, why put a decent "2" equip cost instead of this ridiculous "4"??... The beginner have to learn... They will learn with this card that a Core set is plenty of crap card like this, and they probably have to spend more money in Scars of Mirrodin...

Revised flavour text. This tool has but one purpose,...spreading ketchup.

Such an awesome name and artwork, wasted :(
Maybe this is just me, but i can't remember a time where Vulshok Battlegear was part of the metagame.
Well, apparently it was, and therefore Wizards had to give us this strictly worse version as replacement.
