OK, it's not a must-have for an affinity deck, but man it's a 5/4 flier that can easily enter for 1BlueBlue or BlueBlue when playing artifact lands and cheap artifact creatures!

A dedicated Affinity deck would be busy doing other things, and one that isn't as dedicated wouldn't be able to play this often and fast enough to justify a deck slot.

Edit: also, I would pronounce it Kyoo-moo-locks

Broodstar is better most of the time. But you could run both if you want.
