Yeah, not that useful most of the time, but the art compensates for that fact quite well. :D

Looks like it could be in the Scars block, you know, with Phyrexia corrupting everything and anything ... Or at least it could be a hint of what's going to happen in the future Scars sets...

Well, if you're lucky enough to run 4 Myr Matrix, hopefully this turns into some kind of blue beatstick. If you're not, you can certainly draw a card.

I do like this card. I hope they reprint it the next Mirrodin Set. Its also the only Myr that has a color and is the only myr that can gain flying with out an effect from another card. I'm really interested to see what abilities the other colored myr(if they make any others) would have. its not a perfect card or even a great card. Its got some ok combos that are easy to pull off. 3/5

By this comment, "Action" has been confirmed as New Phyrexia and one of the intro pack rares (Moltensteel Dragon) is indeed a colored artifact. Looks like we will get Sarcomite Myr in New Phyrexia.

EDIT: ...And then it doesn't appear. All of the colored artifacts in New Phyrexia have Phyrexian mana symbols.

I think people took the easy road in predicting this card. Yes, Mirrodin is the ONLY plane confirmed to have Myr, but there has never been a mention of Sarcomite or the Telchor to my knowledge, and as such, there was no real indication beyond creature-type that this bugger has anything to do with Mirrodin/New Phyrexia.

My assumption is that, without Memnarch, the myr either sought another master, or were found, and were then redesigned in a similar method as earlier Slivers (it is important to note, however, that it seems to be a blend of mechanical and biological life, so it may yet appear once New Phyrexia gets it's act together and attempts to expand more.)

I am going to go out on a limb, and make some wishful predictions. I think we will see this guy again in "Action". Personally I would love to see the next set be "Mirriodin Pure", but lets be honest it looks like "New Phyrexia" will be the next set, for many reasons. Firstly it allows for Phyrexia to play a major role in the larger story of the Muliverse, and I think it would just sell better. But that being said Phyrexia is now taking on colours and that could lead to coloured artifacts like this Sarcomite Myr. Also to add to the argument the blue side of Phyrexia is seen on experimenting, I would be willing to say that coloured artifacts could come back, but I do not know if they will use any colour other than blue.
