in a zombie deck with 4 undead warchief it's not a necessity to have in play but a nice ten ton hammer coup de grace!
plus it's quite cheap, considering that it grows with your graveyard too, and even cheaper with one or two undead warchief...yes, my friend's zombie deck is my nemesis

Necessary in a zombie deck. It goes especially great with cards like Viscera Dragger, which can be cycled into a graveyard in order to draw a new card.

Soulless One is a good heavy hitter that sadly does not have a form of evasion. Though it makes up for it with its cost to power/toughness ratio in most cases. Really Soulless One forces your opponents to use up removal if they can, or keep a strong cast of chump blockers. While this is not exactely impossible for your opponents to do, often your Soulless One plays a support role unless your opponent is left undefended or you draw a Cover Of Darkness, or a Zombie Trailblazer.
If you do get an opening Soulless One is a game ender when ran in a zombie deck. To create an opening for an attack consider running Fleshbag Marauders, Nameless Inversions, and Festering Goblins (for removing chump blockers).
Souless One is good for chipping away at opponents defenses, possing as a strong blocker, and dealing huge damage to players.
To get the most out of Soulless One you should run i... (see all)

I saw it for the first time yesterday when playing against someone's zombie deck. The thing is I was playing zombies too, so this grew to a ridiculous size. I managed to get it killed by a Tribute to Hunger, though, gaining me a ridiculous amount of life in the process.
It is a great beater in any zombie deck. Period.

Seems solid, but not amazing. Comparable to Master of Etherium in that they both count P/T as the number of things you have out, but also has great synergy with Deranged Assistant. Also, in a mill deck, I've seen it get pretty silly with Undead Alchemist and/or the aforementioned Army of the Damned.
