Definitely not over-powered, but a fun card to bust out on someone in the right circumstances. The fact that it can target players is pretty awesome.

Does this card actually deal damage? Would there be any modification in the damage if I cast this with, say, Fire Servant on the board?

Underrated card. Late game in a boros deck, after a full assault the previous turn the opponent attacks thinking you've made a last ditch effort to take them out. You let them through, drop this thing, live, deal some damage to them, then clean up the defenderless battlefield on your next attack phase.

@KrosanGardener: This is to Harm's way as Shock is to Fireball. Notice all of these cards are playable.
@Totema: Don't believe the source of the damage changes, which could be interesting for certain instances of Protection as well. It also means you can redirect damage with this and kill something with Magebane Armor, or anything that triggers on combat damage to a player.

This is much better than Harm's Way in that the damage doesn't have to be dealt to a creature I control or myself. I could swing into a heavily defended battlefield and use this to redirect the damage one of my creatures would deal to "target creature" and send it at my opponent.
