since it targets a player, you could combo it with mirror sheen

Amazing card. No drawback for you, but plenty of it for them. In a burn deck it's a Choice of Damnations but better!

Among the best burn spells ever printed. Most cards that give the opponent a choice to take damage or otherwise lose something in order to cancel a nasty effect are pretty terrible. See Dash Hopes - either the opponent doesn't pay the 5 life (in which case whatever you're countering probably isn't that important), or they do and blast you with their win-con.
With Browbeat, though, both choices suck, providing you're playing mono-red burn. Either they take 5 damage, or let you draw 3 cards which are almost certainly going to be 5+ damage worth of burn spells. Awesome.

My go-to draw spell when making a mono-red deck. Captures the essence of red in both its effect, and the great flavour text.

EvilCleavage: Depending on your curve, I would go for this. It will create more interesting stories, and I don't want to think about facing a 'draw 6 cards or deal 10 damage' decision as the victim!

@ChaoticDarkness: No, that's wrong. When you play it, the next player who has priority chooses whether to take 5 damage or not. If he does, nothing more happens. If he doesn't, the choice is up to the next player with priority and so on and so forth. The card will never do more than 5 damage to a single player.
Still, it's an amazing card.

A red three card draw for only 3 mana or - if an opponent wants - a 5 damage for 3 mana? Looks quite WHAT THE HELL!?

@Retrovirus:
Who in the world would ever choose to let you draw 3 cards with this if you're already running this in a burn deck? I for one would rather take 5 to the face for 3 mana, than letting you draw 3 new burn spells.
@Gaussgoat:
Your wish has finally come true? Wizards has just printed Reverberate! :D
In my honest opinion, nothing beats the experience of casting a Browbeat in a good burn deck. I can't wait to copy Browbeat with Reverberate - that's gonna be epic :D
