Compare to Skullclamp... The plus side is that your creatures no longer need to die the moment you equip them, that bad side is you creatures cannot die when you want it to :)
This might work well in suicide black type of deck that requires a lot of life loss to cast spells.

Myr Propogator, pump tokens for defense, who cares if they die?

This goddamn stick can make your limited games so much longer. It's pretty low pick, but it isn't useless.

I wouldn't say that this is what they turned Skullclamp into, rather than splitting it up into this (triggering on death, adding similar stats and same costs) and Infiltration Lens (drawing two cards like it's predecessor, also has the same costs)

4/5. Compare it to Bonesplitter or Leonin Scimitar before you compare it to Skullclamp. It won't warp the format, and at the same time is very good in limited with the current Replica cycle and you can turn your eldrazi spawn into a lot of life if you want.
Other than that, its good on any creature you can target. Sacrifice abilities are not optional here though- they make for a good response to exiling or shuffleintodeck removal.

Quite usefull on a sunspear shikari.
Almost all of the options open to your opponent at this point are good for you.

If you equip it to a card like Caustic Hound and then suicide attack, it can refund three of the four life points you lose from its death. Its dead cheap too, but of course less use against infect decks.

Funny how this druid staff is going to be carried exclusively by phyrexian horrors and zombies.
