A crazy powerhouse in large multiplayer games where it basically becomes omnipotent as it gains ability after ability.

Found a nice infinite mana combo with this guy:viridian joiner, orochi leafcaller, horseshoe crab.
And if you wanna spice this up: Feral Animist, Cinder Elemental, Myr propagator. That's infinite damage, infinite power and infinite ooze tokens. Like this you could win a multiplayer game in one turn even with 6 or 7 enemies.
All you need is a Thornling and a Horror of the Dim in your graveyard for the invincibility and maybe a trespassing souleater for unblockability, to be sure to get all the mana you need because of viridian joiner just pay one off of gigantomancer. This combo might seem not very realistic but with a buried alive and some Fauna Shamans it can easily be pulled off. And in a 1 on 1 you will only need one of the win condi... (see all)

Minor alteration turn 3 buried alive. Put avacyn angel of hope, elder scale worm, and leonin abunas into grave.
Turn 4 drop necrotic ooze.
Turn 5 drop asceticism
Opponent by now should be hating your guts.
Turn 6 drop witch bane orb. Opponent is considering forfeiting by now.
From here you have some time to play with em. If you really want to be a dick get rampaging baloths and primeval Titan into the grave and just start unleashing.

If only the ooze didnt have that 'on the battlefield' clause, it would be able to do some absolutely DISGUSTING things with Ninjitsu, Unearth etc. But then, it can already do digusting things.
Awesome card, 5/5

This dude is the secret commander of my Tariel EDH deck... Buried Alive on turn 3 for Anger, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter to kill at least 1 player and hopefully sweep away pretty much any other creatures on the board in an attempt to stop the obvious retaliation...
@ Grave_titan314 - is that supposed to be a joke? None of those creatures have activated abilities! They are all static or triggered...

@ Grave_titan314
What's the point of putting all those creatures with static abilities in the GY? Necrotic Ooze only gets activated abilities from creature cards in the GY. It doesn't get 'all my perms are indestructible' or 'all opponents perms enter play tapped'.

I think I will go with Elvish Aberration, Skyshroud Elf, and a Flayer of the Hatebound*. Burried Alive, you're so evil. There are so many filthy, disgusting things you can do with this card. Burried Alive will win you the game almost immediately if you have the right stuff in your deck, but that is true even if you aren't partaking of the oozy goodness. 5/5
Edit: Living Wish and a little stack of backup combo critters, plus a Wild Mongrel or Putrid Imp on the field or in the yard. Demonic Tutor does the trick, too, but I like the wishes as an excuse to go rummaging about your person for whatever is tickling your fancy right that moment.
Edit: *That should say Hateflayer. I always get those two confused...
