Clearly, this is for all those slivers that say "sacrifice this permanent".

Great for the new tribe of black. Vampires! And also zombies.

Not a bad way to spend 4 mana.. Especially if you've already laid down a Rooftop storm..

No Kidding. Although It bites mill decks in the butt as well.

@Karthwine
Or in case you get hit by day of judgement. Slivers tend to massively overextend because the power of your army grows quadratically (going from 3 to 4 slivers is more significant than going from 1 to 2). This card will reload your hand after you've overextended into a board wipe.

@EvilCleavage
Also great for any tribal deck that can splash black. Don't get consumed by the fact that this card is black. It is only black because the effect it has is a black one (return creatures from graveyard to your hand). Keep in mind there is only 1 black mana symbol in the cost so as long as you have 1 black mana by the time you cast this (quite possibly later than turn 4), you're fine.

As for the card, I love it. So much card advantage for tribal pauper.

Patriarch's Bidding is usually far more powerful at one mana more.
