agreed. also, it is pretty good for aggro cause power=cmc and it can sac to get you into the endzone

It's easy to underestimate, but raw power is always good to have. And he can net 7 poison counters in single turn, if paired with Tainted Strike

As a red player I'm sorely disappointed. Green gets Naturalize on legs, again (*cough* Qasali Pridemage *cough*), black gets Sign in Blood, White gets a mini fog. I just came out of M11 with a handy new goblin, Ember Hauler, and I see a cheap copy that can't even hit critters. I always prefer versatility over raw power, and this guy is lacking in the versatility that the Hauler has. I'd be happier if it didn't hit just players, but if it only hit creatures, because then it could still hit tons of utility creatures.

And if you're going to be a 3/1, be something with some kind of dignity, like a Spark Elemental, Hellspark Elemental, or even Goblin Deathraiders. Geez. This is why Red hates artifacts.

Part of me agrees with Dacen that I wish it hit both creatures and players, but I think that'd either make it too strong, and/or force them to raise the activation cost noticeably, and I think the great value in this is how cheap it is.

But honestly, he's still a solid card. Because you don't have to tap for his ability, he's pretty versatile - and like Gavrilo pointed out, he works great with Tainted Strike.

I think this could be a very useful sideboard card against aggro decks that rely on Go For the Throat for removal.

It's an artifact that has 3 Power for 3CMC and has fling built into it so that when it get's blocked it can still do it's damage? Sounds good to me. This card is for aggressive players and it seems like it would be pretty powerful in limited.
