Why, he's actually pretty good blocker. Look, almost everything without equipment or metalcraft at this point of game (t3-t5) got only 3- power. And he isn't useless even after turn 6, 'coz unsummon always counts. He can even absorb some infectious damage, and still live to sac for ability later. Solid in limited, no less.

Yeah, Gavrilo hits on why I like this guy. He's not fantastic, but in Limited, he's a decent wall. I know I've personally had aggro attacks stalled by him on my opponent's side. 4 toughness is certainly enough to absorb some early-game rushes.

I am surprised at the low rating on this guy. 4 toughness is always a problem for any fast deck. Not to mention the Wizard creature type and the sac ability for a colorless unsummon... There are many more effective 3 drops currently in the world of Magic without a doubt. Although adding a creature like this along side with a card like Ethersworn Canonist and Enlightened Tutor along with Chalice of the Void all of a sudden you create a serious damper against most decks in the legacy format. Not to mention this guy is a nightmare against animator decks, even thouh his casting & activation costs are a little heavy, the 4 body should make up for it.

Should be at least 3 / 5

Replicas are a good theme, but the actual cards are kinda lame

Meh...i would have liked it more if it recycled for his Unsummon trigger for Blue only, though.

@ thisisnotmyname:

Sorry, he can't be a target of his own ability because he has to be sacrificed as a cost.

Before I rate this card it would be nice to know if it can bounce itself. If it can, then this card is great. If not, then it's a fairly decent wall for U/x control decks.

Edit: thanks. I'll give it 2/5 for dodging a lightning bolt. Oh well.

As others have said, some use in limited. But the activated ability is, in my opinion, too expensive and the little boost he gets for having 4 toughness isn't as significant any more since 4 is no longer the magic number.

Still an all right card, but just a shadow of his former self.

I can't believe how poorly designed this is.

First up, it breaks the trend of the new Replicas having their power and toughnes total up to four.

Second, it's ability is hideously underpowered. Sylvok Replica gets Natualize for one less, this gets Unsummon for one more. Riveting.

Third, it just looks...terrible. I mean, wow. This is a hideous card right here.

It's totally flipping me the bird.

I guess it's what it does when it bounces a creature back.
