Nah, this is pretty usable in multiplayer games where you need defense and need your creatures to live. This does both.

Indeed, it greatly enhances many creatures in limited (Turns Goblin Gaveleer or Sunspear shikari on, makes infecters even more irritating, brings 'smith out of range of most burn, counts towards metalcraft for 
, etc.). And its art... it makes me feel safe.

Vigilance is good. moving any creature out of bolt range is good. 0 CMC is good. I think this card fits the criteria for good. 4/5

You know, I didn't think much of this card, but in limited it won me a lot of my games. 3 is not that hard to pay for +3 and Vigilance! Especially if you're playing the MetalCraft deck this was meant for. With Palladium Myr, this isn't hard to pay for at ALL.

This is going to work far better than people are giving it credit for. Between Ornithopters, Mox Opal, Memnite, and this you can have up to 16 cards that cost nothing to throw down. That's pretty nuts.

for a reusable permanent +3 toughness and Vigilance is not too expensive. Vigilance is probably the rarest and most expensive evergreen ability. And this enters the battlefield free!
