@Bouv10: The whole purpose behind having these and single and two-color decks is to thin the deck. People out there are willing to trade a life(with a fetchland) or have a land come into play tapped(Terramorphic, Evolving Wilds to get 2 cards out of their deck instead of just one, all in the name of drawing more threats instead of drawing more land. It's quite a luxury to have all the fetchlands for that purpose, and when you don't have the 10-15 bucks to blow per fetchland, Terramorphic is still your budget friend.

basically you use these in 3-5 color decks when you don't have fetches or other dual lands (like fetches, shocks, etc) works pretty well for color fixing and deck thinning, to reduce the chance of drawing a land when you need to draw something useful (Day of Judgement or Titanic Ultimatum type cards) in late game.

@mdStrawHat You use these to thin out your deck, trigger landfall abilities, and control the lands you get in multicolored decks, you count them as lands not spells, and being able to thin out a library is very important as is the mana fixing learn something about magic before you trash perfectly good cards because you don't know what they actually do

I like this card so much better than the pay 1 life fetch lands simply because it doesn't cost an entire 2 week paycheck for a playset of them. (An exaggeration of coarse but I'm sure many of you feel the same way.)

@MDStrawHat: People put these in their decks when not competing for prizes because it's just not practical to being paying anything more than $3 a card. I mean really, it's a small piece of cardboard with some artwork and a glossy finish. And the digital copies are even worse. Why are digital copies so expensive when it cost $00.00 to make them?

So dumb question I guess, but this cannot be tapped to add to your mana pool, only to search for nonbasic land?

This is a good card, but not as good as others, especially the rares (obviously). Although this card rocks in a land-fall deck. Works wonders, double land-fall in a turn, can be game breaking.

I don't know why, but I just never liked this card. It seems like there's something up with the art.

I just don't get why people put these in their decks. what waste a of a card slot just to be able to activate a land fall ability one more time or whatever.

Too many times I see these cards misused (even the pay a life cards). I've seen people play them in single & double color decks which, to me, seems pointless. If you have a deck where landfall is imporant (thank you Zendikar) or have 3-5 color decks, then I definately see a use for this card. To me, it takes up 1-4 slots that could be used for land that gives you mana or more cards.
