The 7th edition art didn't exist when the Battle Royale Boxed Set was released. The Battle Royale was released in November 1999 whereas the 7th edition was out in April 2001.

This art is hands-down better than the 7th edition one. I like my artwork of phantasmal scary guys to be dark, blurry and coming to get me. I don't like my artwork looking like a cheap comic book, which the majority of 7th edition looked like.

They should have used the 7th Edition artwork instead of this. Again good ability not worth the extra cost. The original let's me attack one turn earlier.

this looks gorgeous in black border..
i like the ice age art because is cartoony and unique..but this one is my favorite..doesn't look like a specter at all, could be a vampire spirit instead, maybe, i dunno..
