Good synergy with Magnetic Mine, Sylvok Replica, & Liquimetal Coating
But LIMITED... The entire block has a HUGE sacrificing theme. I picked up this guy & Kuldotha Flamefiend as finishers. There was a game where Marauder sat out with a myr propagator that would sac tokens into Culling Dais. Game ended up stalling forever due to an Auriok Replica (which also in the end gained me 5 life)...
But in the meantime I ended up going to 61 life before pulling of a Furnace Celebration win.
Against infect? Well that's what sideboards are for.

I LOVE this card in Draft, especially when Thopter Assembly is involved!

your appoint better pray for a kill spell because until they get you you are going to be very hard to kill threw damage or loss of life and there are some many awesome combos to keep you healthy with this 4.5/5

This card is ridiculous in Limited. Completely ridiculous.

Dinosauers is a great draft deck, and this card is what makes it so great. Infect or not, a 5/5 is tough to beat in a set of mostly weenies. And the life gain is what puts it over the top against the metalcraft decks. The 5 life adds up real fast.

"In any Scars format, versatility is key in your early picks. A card that fills multiple roles without committing you to colors is a choice pick." - Selez
As Steve Sadin says, this card is (and I quote) criminally undervalued. Yeah, the life doesn't help against infect, but ya know what still does? A 5/5 body. (And if you're complaining about Plague Stingers, then shut up and realize that your deck should have some other way of dealing with them by turn six. Ping effects kill them, for gosh sake.) The "Dinosaurs" draft archetype is a very powerful one, and this is one of the best dinosaurs. I'd say... 3rd-4th-ish pick in an average pack.

even better, creeping corrosion
But sadly, I don't expect this guy to see play that much in constructed. Just imagine soul warden being a 6 cmc with + 5 life. You unfortunately would miss out on any of the early game artifact saccing or destroying.

In my pre-release, top decked this guy, I was at 3, killed an artifact (life now at 8), traded my bladed sentinel with rusted slasher,
"SUDDENLY, I'm 18 again!"

Such a bomb in limited, against non-infect if he survives a turn (and sometimes even if he doesnt) it should be over. I've seen him outrace Hoard-Smelter Dragon and Molten-tail Masticore with ease. Ive gotten to over 100 life on numerous occasions with him... Even against infect u can do worse than a 5/5 for 6, and these days there are alot more hybrid infect decks so his impact can still be game changing. Maybe the only dinosaur id have no problem included in my own infect draft or sealed deck, especially since there is an even greater chance that he will be relevant as its more likely your playing non-infect. Honestly this guy can have more of an impact than even a baneslayer angel in limited. Not much removal effectively deals with him either, although i have seen some one cast arrest on him, just to conceded a couple turns later in dismay when the marauders controller gained about 40 life in the in... (see all)
