Because that's the only way you're going to make it so cards find equal use in and out of Limited.

Compare to Rapacious One which, despite the difference in rarity, loses out in being harder to cast if you're running two or more colors, doesn't inherently have Trample, and can't make spawn tokens when it hits your opponent. Rarity certainly seems to have a large influence in power of newly printed cards these days, it seems.

I rate this 5/5 because of some inside jokes and the decent combo this+Wellspring cards+Viridian Harvest+Fangren Marauder, all from the same block.
If that's not commmon combo kill, I don't know what is.

Cool flavor text, bad "limited only" card.
Imho they should stop to flood every set with stuff that is totally unplayable outside of limited.

Pretty bad in constructed I'll admit, but you'll love seeing this card during a draft if you've already pulled a Spine of Ish Sah. Plus awesome flavor, no pun intended.
