@Designer Genes - that's just plain silly. Not only is this a card advantage engine, but it let's you search your library for *any* elf permanent card and put it onto the battlefield at instant speed. Being able to get a creature onto the battlefield each turn regardless of what you draw is just damn great. Having Nissa's third ability on a stick is just damn great.
But yes, this should go in a LOT of elf decks. At 4 mana it might be too expensive for some of the more aggressive variants, but for a lot of them, the card advantage and tutoring this card provides is more than enough to warrant inclusion.

Very dangerous in an elf deck. Play whatever elf you want whenever you want for 3 mana. Ouch.

Seahunter is sort of like the same card in blue for merfolk. Moggcatcher is sort of like the same card in red for goblins.
It's kind of weird that a card that's supposed to work together with elves has such an abusive flavor.
Maybe I'm overthinking it. After all, they're just elves.

I've never been a fan of Ron Spencer's art. It's so... I don't even know how to describe it. Frantic?

In an elf deck, by the time you can play this guy, and wait a turn for him to work, you should have played something better.
