Because there wasn't any infect back in Darksteel. And power armor is much cooler than weighted stick.

Looks like this card could use some living weapon...

Yeah, the "Can't Block" clause feels weird to me. Why does wearing power armor suddenly void your ability to stop an enemy?
It's also a little unusual for cards that remove blocking to boost toughness, or at least boost it as much as they boost power.

Awesome in limited. Bad in constructed. Seriously underrated.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is a great mid draft pick. Especially if you managed to pick up some good cheap flyers or other evaders. I understand you want more in constructed, but 1 drop equipment that gives +2/+2 is pretty darn powerful.

I guess it can't block because it's too slow. Other than that, I think it's cool, except I'd probably make the equip cost 1 less.
Also, imagine equiping three of these to a metal craft creature, haha!

Works in limited Infect decks wonderfully.

Not that bad in the pre-lease, although it mostly exist on the board for Metalcraft purposes.

I like to put it on my Phyrexian Juggernaut. And even better, you have enough mana to equip two of them the turn after he comes into play.
It's a nice pull in draft, it keeps your smaller guys dangerous as you go into the late-game. However, I do agree that the equip cost is just a tad much.
