Should be fun in Legacy. Whatever your opponent does you can copy on a budget. Drop a goyf? Well now you have one too! For like.. $2.
Batterskull? That's weird, you don't remember putting 4 batterskulls in your deck do you?
There will always be something killer to copy for 3-4 mana, just have enough control that you get to keep yours and that they lose theirs.

I'm sure someone else has said it in the nine pages of comments, but if it hasn't, I just think this is fun.
Liquidmetal Coating + this = I can copy any permanent I can target! Just fun, especially in EDH were you might want to clone an Enchantment of some sort. Or a land possibly.

Strictly better than the T-1000, as it can't form complex machines. Guns and explosives have chemicals, moving parts. It doesn't work that way. But it can form solid metal shapes. Knives and stabbing weapons.

That's funny, it sure doesn't LOOK like a Sword of Body and Mind, or a Baneslayer Angel, for as little as {3} you get a creatures (sometimes) and artifact (other times) and a removal spell (when copying legendary creatures like Emrakul, The Aeons Torn or legendary artifacts like Mindslaver) ... all wrapped into one card, that you don't even have to splash {U} for (hypothetically speaking). So many uses, comes in as the best thing in play, and can be utilized with your own permanents, i mean really, who wouldn't want two Myr Galvanizer instead of one?

The love child of clone and sculpting steel.
Its difficult to understand the impact that this card is going to have right away, simply because its so versatile.
Its cheap, can be used in any color, and can copy two of the most common types of permanents without targeting. Goodbye Thrun
A must have for me.

Why is this not rated higher? A 3 mana Clone that works in any deck....

This is a pretty strong candidate for the best card in New Phyrexia. This card is, by far, the most flexible card in standard - and maybe one of the most flexible cards in Magic, period. Not only because it can copy any artifact OR any creature, but it can also be played in any color. There are so many solid applications - even if, for instance you need another land for some reason. Why not animate a man land and play your metamorph? You have a shiny new land, as well.
This card has so many amazing applications - take an equipment, take a creature. It's an excellent way to counter legendary creatures and, heck, with Liquimetal coating - you could even counter Planeswalkers. This card will find its way into a ridiculously high number of decks over time.
