Anyone else think this should have been Geth's Edict instead, just to keep it in line with every other target player sacs a creature card for two mana?
See:
Diabolic Edict
Imperial Edict
Chainer's Edict
Cruel Edict
I guess Not so much Yawgmoth's Edict, though...

Best black flavor text in the set.

Geth's Verdict. I see what you did there, Wizards.

Something i find funny about this card is how it can kill anything, no matter what abilities the cards have.
Hexproof and indestructibility? Too bad, you make your opponent do the dirty work. Also, look at thier faces when they have to choose between several important cards
The only problem with this card is that it becomes useless when there are a bunch of low cost cards out

Don't play this guy in limited. It will almost never kill what you want it to kill, and there are better ways to clear the way for infectors.
EDIT: Wow, do I feel like a fool. This card has ended me every time my opponent had it and I was on an even slightly shaky draw. I had expected mana myr or tokens to make this card nigh unplayable; turns out that those aren't around in high enough quantities to make this bad. It is, in actuality, truly insane. Instant speed is so nuts. Not a first pick by any means, but easily fourth (just watch out for the BB).

Another card to add to black sacrifice, and a very good one at that.

Amazing. It kills black, so it's better than Doom Blade, and it destroys indestructible creatures, too.
5/5
Another thought: it can even destroy cards with protection or hexproof, as the card targets the player. Incredible.
