A reasonably effective counterspell with the added fun of forcing the opponent to waste mana trying to pay for a spell that he already can't afford.

This used to be one of the best, but then came the sixth edition rules and drpped this to mud.

Also, I love how some old cards have these extremely obvious reminder texts, as if the players didn't know what paying x mana meant.
