In a deck built to accommodate this, I can easily visualise a 1 drop into 5/5 or more mid-late game.

Agree with Gabriel, the most under rated and dangerous card in New Phyrexia
Imagine red and blue combo's with plenty of mini myrs galloping to attack and surpised with creeping corrosion and on the sideline cryptoplasm

This looks problematic, but the best way I can think of to abuse it is self-milling along with other cards that mess with your graveyard.

If the lack of an Artifact supertype on this is identical to the Walking Atlas mistake, this is really sad.
As for the mechanics of the card, not starting as a 1/1 makes this unplayable in this Standard.
