@DarthParallax: Try sprinkling "jew" in where it doesn't belong, and you'll get jew 5-star comments too. It would have been at least understandable if the card was a golem.

This card kind of does the job Corpse Cur does, just a little bit less efficiently.

Although it doesn't have Infect and doesn't allow you to choose your card, this is stil a great card to draft when playing black in Drafts.

Outside of zombie tribal, forget Gravedigger, I'd prefer to play Cadaver Imp. The loss of one point of power for flying and making it return any creature card instead of just a random zombie totally makes it better than Ghoulraiser in my book. Although in my zombie tribal deck Ghoulraiser is really fun in those earlier turns to keep recycling my Gempalm Polluters :D

Card advantage is still card advantage.
And of course he doesn't know who is in which grave, he can't read headstones. Gravedigger can though, because he has an actual job while this guy it is more as a hobby.

THANK YOU Wizards! This is an excellent tribal twist to Gravedigger.

At random? So he doesn't know who is in which grave?

Cheap tribal gravedigger is nice, I just like the greatly improved versatility of Gravedigger more. The speed advantage granted by being one mana cheaper doesn't really offset the two-color difficulty and the zombie only at-random clause, in my opinion.

There is, doubtless, a deck that benefits greatly from the marginally improved speed of this card, but frankly, I don't enjoy playing at that speed.

As long as it's a random creature and it must be a Zombie, it would be considerably more balanced at 2B or even better at 1B for a 1/2 or 2/1.

That aside, I love the art. The concept of zombies rising from the ground, grabbing a shovel and altruistically helping their buddies up and out of the ground is a pretty cool image.

how the hell did MasterofEtherium get a FIVE STARRED COMMENT on Gatherer?!?!

I will feel....inadequate, somehow, if none of my comments on Innistrad get 5 stars now. :/

PS- love the card. I always wanted a cheaper Gravedigger, don't mind the drawback. :)
