Apparently M12 in trying to give Auras a fighting chance. This, hexproof creatures, auras like Spirit Mantle, Angelic Destiny and Oblivion Ring
I think I should blow the dust away from my enchantment deck (not that anyone should care, but my enchantment deck was the first one I actually built) and shape it up to fit into standard. Enchanters, to war!

A bad rare for draft, but in constructed, she can be full of surprise.
With a playset of her, Oblivion Ring, Forced Worship (absolutely broken with her), and Sun Titan, you have a solid skeleton that will work for a couple of deck concepts. I find the Sun Titan quite important since it's a strong 6/6 vigilance beater, but mostly because it can retrieve her, enchantments, lands or other creatures. Oh and a Sun Titan with Spirit Mantle is quite a monster, 7/7 vigilance unblockeable immune to creatures that retrieves permanent, anytime please. The Titan can even retrieve Spirit Mantle from the graveyard on its own the first time you attack with him!
Then you have some options for the rest of the deck, Angelic Destiny, Spirit Mantle, Honor of the Pure, Intangible Virtue, Tempered Steel, Bonds... (see all)

Skillic, I'm afraid your combo doesn't work. Mesa Enchantress triggers when you cast a spell, and once you're created the loop no spells are being cast.
However with just one Oblivion Ring you can create an infinite loop of your Relic-Warder entering the battlefield. You can use Cream of the Crop to start digging through your library, or Pandemonium or Warstorm Surge to kill your opponent. Or, even better, both! Now I've got to make that deck...

She's card advantage. She makes running more than one Personal Sanctuary worth it in that even if you cast a second one, you'll still get to draw a card to replace it, meaning that it (or any other duplicate of an enchantment) is not a waste of a card.

She was originally printed in Planar Chaos, and from what I can tell, the color wheel doesn't apply there. Also, she is beautiful, just not Caucasian.
As far as the comparison for to Puresteel, I think you are just thinking about pump auras. Puresteel doesn't work with all artifacts and needs 3 in play for his most useful ability. This card works with ALL enchantment types. Oblivion Ring, Honor of the Pure, Tempered Steel, Asceticism, Rites of Reflourishing, Jace's Erasure, all of the Quests and Ascensions, all of the Umbras...and those are just in standard.
