Strictly the Same as Savage Silhouette. Perhaps this is to divorce trolls from hexproof?

Just so we're clear:
There are 20 Troll-type creatures without Hexproof.
There are 2 with hexproof. They are Troll Ascetic and Thrun, the Last Troll -- who is also an ascetic.
Wizards also owns the D&D brand, and let me tell you-trolls are easy to target with Fireballs and Lightning Bolts.

I think this is a more flavorful name for a core set card than Savage Silhouette, fwiw

Surprisingly decent in sealed. Won many a game by enchanting creatures with hexproof like Gladecover Scout for the additional +2/+2 bonus, the regeneration is pretty pricey at {1}{G}, but its awesome to have your enchanted creature stick around after a Day of Judgement if you play things right.

I'm pretty sure the REAL troll ability is Regeneration, not Hexproof. The only troll without regen so far, has persist (Rendclaw Trow). Any hexproof creature + this = troll ascetic or better, depending how you look at it.

Trollshroud is trollshroud because it trolls your opponents. I was calling it that long before I ever heard of the ascetic, and I will continue.

TROLLS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH "Trollshroud". I'm glad they keyworded it Hexproof because I'm sick of the whole ability being attributed to an entire creature type that only had a single (popular) creature to feature that ability. Regeneration is the standard troll ability, NOT hexproof in ANY WAY AT ALL.
Thrunn doesn't count because he IS troll ascetic, just a specific one who became legendary.

One of the "troll"est cards to pick when you're drafting or playing sealed.
