Seems to me like the Favor was made especially for Sacred Wolf.

great turn two, not the best late but with hexproof or a power house can be a good pick in a draft; little constrained value.

Now they finally realised that power is more valuable than toughness and balanced it by giving divine favor additional life gain and dark favor life loss as a drawback. I like it.

I like this card. Despite the fact that people tend to turn their noses up at both lifegain and auras, this essentially counters an Incinerate to the face and does a pretty good job of holding the line against creature rush. Especially if you slap it on one of the Hexproof creatures that are becoming more common.

It's a card for an Aura deck, and does its job well. Slap one of these of a Pride Guardian and you have a life factory that makes attacking disadvantageous to the opponent.

So is this the new Holy Strength? I think paying the extra mana is well worth it.
For limited, I mean. I still think this is trash in constructed.

Favor, noun. A small gift or token that represents favoritism of a benefactor.
Normally auras like this are just terrible to play with because of potential card disadvantage but in this set they can be considered only because of the amount of hexproof cards.

The primary attribute for Monks in Guild Wars is strictly more awesome than this Aura in Magic.
