Combos with Volcano Hellion for infinite life and one very, very dead creature.

Allowed me to stabilize quite a few games at the prerelease; the two power is just gravy. I really can't see any constructed value in this though. Probably the worst mage.

Could be handy alongside Ajani's Pridemate

Solid white creature for limited. Could see use in aggro white decks.

Reminds me of Paladin of Prahv, but just generally better.

It's ok in limited and bad everywhere else. 1/5

I would think any deck that includes but is not based on, lifegain, should see 4 of this guy in place of the other lifegain cards. He's decent & can be used early to late.

It's only now, looking at the latest "The Week That Was" column, that I get to see all the Magic 2012 Mages together in one place. Having the various creeds for their flavor text is just cool, it's like the mages are a set of Lantern Corps, and the creeds are their oaths.

Got me to 50+ life at the prerelease, but I'll be honest: it was overkill.
