Straight upside with the Scars block still legal.
Turn 1 -> Swamp, Vault Skirge
Turn 2 -> Swamp, Dark Favor, Swing for 4 Lifelink
I am SO making Black Artifacts.

A welcome addition to a poison deck already short a giant growth, vinse of vastwood, ground swell and primal bellow. It's good to know that black can pull a little of it's own weight around here.

This on a turn 1 Glistener Elf or a Turn 2 Blighted Agent is killer. Yeah, that's right, I play BUG infect...I have no friends :(

By focussing ALL his energy towards his belly, he was able to sit down and deliver a very brown, very dark favor... It went SPLASH.

Did you just say "definitely first pick in draft" when talking about this card? Try passing it. It actually wheels quite often, and you get to take a nice creature or something if the aura deck doesn't work out. You don't always get hexproof guys to make it worth your time.

I honestly don't understand why this card is rated so low. Granted, an extra +1/+0 might not seem worthy of costing an extra mana and a loss of one life over unholy strength, but I never actually found that unholy strength packed enough of a punch for me to consider it worthy of taking up card space in a deck.
Sinister strength is surely superior to this, but this is a welcome substitute in my opinion, turning any weenie into a formidable opponent for most creatures.

I Would like even more if you could pay more life to get it back into your hand. Hooray for black masochism!

Ran this with Aven Fleetwing in Pre-release today. A 2/2 flyer with Hexproof and +3/+2? Why thank you.
