Yeah the ability costs a bit but at least it's continuous countering if you got some cards and mana.

Used to have a really annoying deck with this, biologist, lots of ways to defend them, lots of creature control, and worship. This has won me many, many games in the past, but it's a little too slow for magic's current speed and power in most formats. Still a great card though. 4/5

A nice spellshaper for sure. The element of surprise is missing sadly, but sometimes the threat of a counter spell is enough in itself.
