Yeah, but there's no reason to make it an instant. It's meant to encourage you to attack. The only time you would want an instant version is multiplayer, which means 99% of all players would never use it as anything other than a sorcery.
Sure, I can contrive two-player game scenarios where my opponent got sloppy and I defuse another combat trick with this one -- Giant Growth your creature in response to declaring attackers? Well that's just stupid, because now I know one creature I'm going to target with this. -- but those are so far fetched that it's like saying, "works well against people who don't know what they're doing."

It's an obvious combo to be used with R Vampires such as Falkenrath Marauders, Rakish Heir, and Bloodcrazed Neonate.

This card is just hilarious. I know Innistrad is supposed to be a horror set, but it's good to see that there's still some comedic relief.
