This is a superb card. When cycled, it draws two cards (one of which will be a land), and it can't be countered save for Stifle and the like. It also has the added functionality of being as a 6/5 for 7.

On top of being incredibly useful, it has great art!

Not bad at all; You can either snag a land and a card early game, or drop a 6/5 late game.

Why the hell is this card rated so low? It deserves at least a 4, if not more. A creature that could discard for land and card at 2G is great no matter what. People give higher rating for Kodama's Reach, why not this?

Yeah, you can just consider him the green divination. You usually draw at least one land with divination anyways. And it can be a huge guy late game too, if you're into that sort of thing.

Counsel of the Soratami in green. At instant speed, and late game he can be a creature when you need him.
5/5

A great utility creature for Pauper. Sadly low rating.

At first I wasn't to impressed when I read this card, but that was because I was focusing on it's p/t and mana cost, on not on the cycling cost + cycling ability. This card is *primarily* a card-draw + mana fetch card, and it's body is secondary, but still very important.
An incredibly versatile card.

he goes in 100% of all EDH decks playing green and back when he was in Standard, was in almost 100% of all green decks; I can even see people playing 3 or 4 of these in Legacy just because of the incredible uncounterable card advantage for 3. This card is just way too good not to play.
