Great 5/5 common creature for red, costing only 3 mana and 1 discard using morph. Compared to similar red creatures at that casting cost, it is superior. Even at a regular cost of 5 mana, it is reasonable. Very good common card. 4/5.

It's not the greatest card, but I think it's really well-designed. Obviously, it works to get itself to hellbent. Cards with several interacting abilities appeal to me; I guess you could say that I'm a Melvin.
What I also like about the design is the similarity to the once-chase rare, Balduvian Horde. I don't know for a fact that it's an intentional nod to the horde, but I imagine it is given that the Raiders were printed in Time Spiral block. What does that make me -- a meta-Vorthos?

Art looks like zombies. 5/5 for in the right deck, nothing to scoff at.

Used in some vintage decks. Great for a quick game-ender. Synergizes well with Blood Scrivener, Hellbent cards, etc..
Madness and flashback enabler. Hellbent doesn't always have to be card disadvantage; use his card disadvantage to drop a land while getting Blood Scrivener to draw two. The instant speed of it means that you might keep Scrivener from getting eaten as well!

You can swing with this morphed when you have no mana and only a single card, and when the opponent lets it through (it's just a 2/2, and what combat trick could you possibly do with no mana?), suddenly flip it and hit for 5. Not bad!
