I think the reason she's 5/5 is because she's a vampire that's badass enough to transform into a bat. In fact, she's powerful enough that she can spend a lot of her time in an alternate form. If you've played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, think about how powerful you had to be before you could stay in bat form full time if you wanted to.
A 5/5 on the ground isn't a great attacker if your opponent has some big creatures on the board, but if you've got a Stromkirk Captain out, she becomes a remarkable deterrent to attack. Further, if you've got Curse of Stalked Prey out, you can build up some +1/+1 counters with her bat form, then transform her into an utter monstrosity. There's a reason she's called a *Stalking* Vampire.
She's not as much of a game-changer as Rakish Heir or Stromkirk Captain, but she's still decent if you've the mana to invest in her and the right build to fit her into.

To each their own, I find the face quite attractive.
In terms of the card, it's pretty meh. 6 for a 5/5, not light on color investment, etc, I'll pass. Limited it might be decent. I wish you could transform at instant speed.

What seems like a regular vampire-lady is apparently as big as your average dragon?
That, and 2/2 bats are kind of pushing it.
I don't know. I love the underlying flavor of the card, and I love how good a card it is on a mechanics level, but those stats are throwing me off.

For the record, the full version is more compelling than this compressed, anti-aliased version. You can find the full art right here:

Edit again:
Odium1995, not so much mad and bored, as bored and unhealthily pedantic.

@ Smithney : "usable as a 5/5 body on turn 4"
that's a lot less likely than you'd think... unfortunately.
But, I still think this is a great card - both flavorful and useful. There are so many cards in this set that give you multiple options on one card; it's great to have versatility.

Not a great card, but wonderfully designed and the art, particularly on the 5/5 side, is fantastic.

"How often would you actually want to transform her back into a bat?"
Sometimes you need a creature to have wings. Turning her back into a bat won me a game.
"She's ugly, I dont get you people."
You sir, have hopelessly high expectations.

This is undoubtely one of the best card designs of all time; it's one of the most classical vampire tropes, a straight 3cmc 2/2 flier for black where only white and blue got slots, a new 4cmc 5/5 black creature. Also, the illustrations and flavor text are great!
5/5 and I even played her yet - my only copy lies on my collection.

The 5/5 as a human form is fantastic, can see her running down big bad beasts and wolves in her human fighting form now.

She is so pretty, but you know she is so deadly.
Over all, card is solid. 2/2 flier for 3 is always good. And a 5/5 for 4 is always something to take notice of. Only thing I want to know is why her bat form isn't a Vampire.

I WANT HER.
In my deck. Cus, you know, she's a good card. That's... that's what I meant.
