To be fair. By the time you can cast this, if the opponent still has cards left, they will all probably be something they really wanted to keep.

Not a great dragon, but making your opponent discard is an underrated effect.

I like how the old text of this says "You may force your opponent to choose and discard a card." It's like you are then allowed to grab his arms and move his hands for him or roughly shout at him while punching him in the face until he discards a card.

@BastianQoU: Read the errata. It works exactly like you originally thought it would. So yes, it's fully abusable, though I don't know if this would be my first choice for a card to abuse if I possessed it, since it's not very powerful, unfortunately. But I probably would, since it's immensely cool.

Just figured out why it's in the set. It's a Portal card. Pretty rare. It's not P3K, but it's still Portal. Also it was one of the Designer's favorite Dragons ever even after they got bored of most of the Dragons in DnD and WoW and MTG.
This was the 15th Anniversary Set Special Commemorative Box....I think the Vault should stop being Annual and start waiting for other Special Occasions like that. Returning to Ravnica happens to be Special, but I don't know of anything in between FTV: D and Return to Ravnica that really counts as 'This Historic Moment really needs a Monument'
Anyway, they picked the dragons because they needed one for each year.
I hope Wizards considers changing and IMPROVING the From the Vault series, or I fear it will end up discontinued like the Premium Deck Series. :P

I don't know. I kinda like it, but it's hard to justify. It is true that this will likely wipe what's left of their hand agianst a non-control deck. That said, there are *probably* better things you could be doing with the card slot.
Still, cool art, usable body/effect, 3/5 seems about right!
