I always like Hurricane more, simply because in green aggro, with easy access to mana acceleration, you can creature rush for a while and then finish them off with X damage. Also Hurricane is very likely to ignore your own creatures in green.

The classic complement to Earthquake. Not nearly as good, though, since killing everything without flying is usually much more profitable than killing everything with it. This still has its uses (hosing fairies cheaply) and it's cool that this little 2-card cycle exists.

For those wondering whether this is better than Earthquake:
These two cards serve very different goals. If you are playing mono green and you just want a green burn spell to hit your opponent, then Hurricane is your card. It isn't going to be a board-sweeper like earthquake; it's basically going to be a green Blaze (which also hurts you, but that hopefully won't matter).
If you want a board sweeper, on the other hand, I'd have to say that Earthquake is better. Most creatures don't have flying, and so Earthquake is more likely to kill them. And, if you are playing red, you have better options for large amounts of direct damage (such as Blaze).
So, if you are playing R/G and wondering which to run, it completely depends on what you need. Unless your opponent is playing tons of flyers, a Blaze will usually be more helpful to you than a Hurricane. Earthquake is a great card, but if your deck is creature heavy, you're gonna want to avoid it. I pe... (see all)
