A serious thorn in the side of any weenie deck.

Tasty with Boros Reckoner, as pointed out elsewhere.

A player at an FTM event won a game that I had him down to two life by using two of these on his Boros Reckoner. Hilarious way to lose. Very awesome card.

Such an awesome card. I like the art on it, and I like that it's a playable, red board wipe.

A neat little trick I learned while running this in my Werewolf Tribal deck is to sack a Full Moon's Rise and then cast Blasphemous Act to turn it into a one sided board wipe!

This card is a reference to the historical story of the Knights Templar being slaughtered by King Philip and the church on Friday the Thirteenth.
Knight-Templar/Knight-Cathar (same thing)

I think this card was a top-down design where they told the creator to make the Magic equivalent of a tactical nuclear weapon. Tactical nukes are meant only to be used on battlefields, and (at least in theory) for emergency or last-resort situations.
