Wow, nice card. I've never heard of it until skimming through random cards on the gatherer. Could be nice combined with creatures like Ball Lightning and Hell's Thunder. Just an awesome card all around. I agree that it may be in the wrong colors, but that's what's best about this gem.

Uphill Battle beats Ashling's Prerogative in this case I think.

this + 2x Ashling's Prerogative 1 declared even one declared odd, + burn deck

I still distinctly remember the exact transition of my thoughts from: "Why would I ever play this card?" to "I can make a deck without creatures!!" That was a major shift in the game for me, and I owe a lot of it to this card.

Control? In red?

How interesting. Works well if you love to spam burn spells.Only costs RR, too. :P

Lets you chump-block all day, especially with Squee, Goblin Nabob. Until they get trample. Interesting card, to say the least.

A great control card, but printed in the wrong color to have any use...

This is the kind of card that a Zedruu control deck wants. Not only does it not care who controls it, you can also donate some tapped creatures.
The downside is that secondhand Smoke exposure causes an estimated 3,400 lung cancer deaths annually among adult nonsmokers in the United States.
