Imagine Sinkhole had come with 2Black and Stone Rain with RedRed.
I guess red would still have become the primary color for land destruction, yet we would have gotten another plain 2Red LD card likely.

The most basic LD spell of all time...great spell...This should have been reprinted in M10...

This card set -for the longest time- the golden standard for land destruction cards... sadly that has started to move towards 4 cmc lando spells...

During the playtesting years of Alpha, if a land was destroyed, all creatures of that corresponding land's mana color were also destroyed.
Glad they didn't stick with that.

The art is a bit goofy and Land destruction is evil. Excellent card in general, particularly since you can nuke special lands to hurt the enemy more.
