Fun in blue/red decks with Hydroblast/Blue Elemental Blast or white/red with Silver Knight or similar.

This card represents a crucial point in the history of Magic. Specifically, when Wizards realized that incredibly narrow cards were pretty useless.
Also, ElMikkino wins at Gatherer.

In contrast with jsttu, I don't like this art at all. It kinda looks like someone barfed on the card. Though, I do also see a blue dragon breathing fire at a dark green goblin's hair in a background of pink skies, while some other light green goblin watches curiously. That could be an interesting piece of art.

The problem with the Laces is that when you care about color, it's almost always because your opponent has some sort of nasty color-hoser out -- which means you want to change colors away from the color you're using.

The laces are pretty cool. This one doesn't have the utility of Deathlace, since the blue-red enmity was killed by wizards.
