I'm very interested to see how this ends up playing out once the Eldrazi rotate out and Innistrad rotates in. The biggest problem with mill is that it usually doesn't affect the board at all, but if M12 and the little tidbits we've gotten about the next block are any indication, milling yourself to get the right pieces in play could likely be followed up by milling your opponent to death.

Obviously, it's way too early to tell, but there's some potential there.

Drop this, followed by NewJace's ultimate, followed by popping Jace's Archivist's ability. Really, a very cheap and fairly reasonable (not to mention 100% when it goes off) win condition for a mill deck.

I love milling, but not really the uninteresting milling like Traumatize. This is much more subtle (and interesting) way of milling. It combos very nicely with many blue (and not just blue) spells. At worst, it just neglects the self-milling issues with any repeatable drawing engine... or draw X effects. Just nice.

My only problem with this card is that at my local store, everyone calls it "Jace's Eraser" on accident.
Otherwise, it's a decent card, not game-breaking, but certainly not terrible.

Here's how you know, Aetherium. Does the card say "draw" on it? If so, Erasure triggers. If not, it doesn't.
I'll go through your examples:

Diabolic Tutor: "Put"s things into your hand. Doesn't trigger.
Green Sun's Zenith: Doesn't even have to do with your hand. Doesn't trigger.
Disentomb: "Return target creature card from your graveyard to your hand." Doesn't trigger.
Sphinx of Uthuun: "reveal the top five cards of your library. An opponent separates those cards into two piles. Put one pile into your hand" Doesn't trigger.
Ponder: "Draw a card". Triggers.
Divination: "Draw two cards". Triggers twice.

I'm having a bit of an argument with someone over the wording of the card, specifically the "...you MAY have target player..." part. In my mind, this means the target player needs to be chosen each time a card is drawn, so if the player who played the card enters their main phase they would lose the ability to use it's effect for their initial draw. Is there any other rulings for/against this?

This card ruins people. Especially with how I use it.
Hey Opponent!
Love Howling Mine? Not any more!
Love Walking Archive? Not any more!
Love Vision Skeins? Not any more!

If there is anything that Jace's Erasure teaches us Magic Players, it's that sharing is caring! Especially when your opponents are losing about 6 cards every turn!

Run 4 of these on a blue/green Ally deck. Sea Gate Oracle let's you draw for the number of allies, and when your friends see how dangerous that is, you still have creatures with a lot of 1/1 counters on them. With 4 Halimar Excavators I milled upwards of 100 cards per turn.
