Like in Shivan Emissary, they messed up the design on this card.
Firstly, this shouldn't be a 1/2 if the red one is 1/1 (and the blue one flies, even!).
Second, a 1/2 flyer shouldn't be 2U but maybe the (cool) art forced them to make it fly?
The kicker cost on this one is better, at least - a 1/1 Wizard for U that kicks with 1W to destroy an enchantment would have been a playable card.

I guess they put the emissaries in Invasion, saw that people said "they suck". And then in the next set, in Planeshift, they printed the improved versions of the emissaries: the battlemages.
