ummm... wow. This is a pretty good card. This would be a hillarious follow-up to Stasis.

In one of MaRo's articles (Here's the Kicker, part of the Making Magic column), he talks about the development of certain Invasion cards. One bit of info he revealed, this card and the others of it's cycle were originaly supposed to have Kicker. The reason it was removed was during templating, it was realised that Kicker costs aren't paid until you play the spell. In other words, too late for it to allow a Sorcery to be played as an Instant. The ability had to be changed into something that isn't Kicker for it to work.

Simultaneously is on a card!? That's certainly strange in Magic...

The best time to use it is after you've attacked with everything but before blockers are declared. Your opponent will be tapped out and unable to block, but on his next turn all of your creatures will be untapped to stop a retaliatory strike... assuming he's still alive.

I think I'd rather play it during my opponent's attack phase, get a fog effect, and follow up with an open attack. I don't that's worth 6, however. Unless you really need the untap, Sleep gives you two open attacks as long as nothing new comes out.

The rules for this seem a bit twisted to me, for these reasons (correct me if I am wrong because I guess I must be)

To cast a spell,These are the first two steps
1. Declare you are casting it (see point 1) and put it on the stack
2. Announce mode choice

To put it on the stack at instant speed would require having already decided to pay 2 more to cast it, but you can't decide to pay 2 more to cast it until step 2 (when it's already on the stack).

307.1. A player who has priority may cast a sorcery card from his or her hand during a main phase of
his or her turn when the stack is empty. Casting a sorcery as a spell uses the stack. (See rule 601,
“Casting Spells.”)

601.2b "...If the spell has alternative or additional costs that will be paid as it’s being cast such as
buyback or kicker costs (see rules 117.8 and 117.9), the player announces his or her intentions
to pay any or all of those costs (see rule 601.2e)..."

The way I'm reading the card seems to suggest that you pay for t... (see all)
