Why such a low rating? This is great if you've got a fattie and are running GW. It's really only good if you're running GW, since the lifelink is the money part of this, but still. Some big creatures don't have trample (I love you Krosan Beast, so I'm willing to point out your flaws) and this gives them that (at instant speed) and gives you 6+ life for 
extra. Solid.

THis card has been seriously underrated. IT plus Armadillo Cloak causes some serious life gain and should be in any GW decks.

Agreed, it's a cool card and was fun back when it was new.
But honestly I can see how it suffers now that things like Predator's Strike, Tower Above and Vines of Vastwood are out there.

Better to have a creature with trample already on it than spend mana to give trample. Why not give a creature a boost over giving a creature trample until the EOT?
