Anti-landfall is something worth exploring, I think.

She hates volcanoes. Probably an effect of Phyresis, cause Phyrexia hates red.

If you can get it out early, and have a bunch of Phyrexain mana cards, go nuts.
Otherwise, needs another point of toughness.

I would say this guy is amazing if the format were still slow. Fact is, it's fast. By the time you can play this guy, your opponent should already be at a high enough land count for them not to care. Or simply kill this guy. Cards upwards of 4 mana have dropped significantly in value (exempting bombs, obviously); probably 7th pick.

This would be the main reason I might run defensive stance for an anti-Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle deck

Am I the only one who finds the art on this card genuinely disturbing?
I'm not saying I won't play it. But I will shudder every time I draw one.

Nothing can counter Valakut that can't withstand Valakut. This thing is a FAIL.

Ugly as sin.
Landfall effect a block late.
But, still...

Angels: a symbol of grace, beauty, justice...
Anything you can imagine as "right".
This card art is disturbing, showing a mad angel, just completely messed up.
I love it.

I guess this was supposed to be the anti-valakut, the molten pinnacle.
Doesnt do its job well enough though.
