Not strictly worse. In a monocoloured deck, this would be a 1/2 where Matca rioters would be a 1/1.

Whoever runs this in a monocoloured deck is incredibly dumb though XD.

Too bad multicolor relies on dual lands so much, really undercuts domain. Still it's reasonable that he'll be a 3rd turn 3/2. If he just got a toughness boost he'd be pretty cool.

Matca Rioters being green also makes it better for domain. But this is still sweet because it's a Kavu.

Matca Rioters is a better card, but the picture can't hold a candle up to this one. Besides, rioters are mean and scary... the flavour text even describes them as "ugly." Meanwhile, everyone loves Kavu.
