When you tell an artist "What it rides is up to you", you get something unique. And terrifying. Great scott, that is a burning cluster of corpses that flies.

Black has rituals, lots of them.

Not only is his steed made of bodies, but closely check the shapes in the background for more diabolic imagery. Or just go here: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/738

@DarthParallax: That really should be "Ask not for whom the Bell tolls-it tolls for THEE!"

This is a nicely damaging Specter, although most decks will be discarding land cards by this point in the game.

why doesn't this have 6 stars? :P
this is pure, undiluted card disadvantage. I could say card advantage, but when it comes to black, I prefer to think in terms of the opponents' disadvantage instead of my advantage. Cuz it's more evil that way. :)
There is only one reason I can think of why this card is at ONLY 4.8:
Missing this line in italics at the bottom-
"Ask not for who the Bell tolls- it tolls for THEE!"

No comments on APNAP (Active Player, Non-Active Player) order? This reads like everyone should simultaneously choose and discard their card, but I believe they actually take turns clockwise from your left. Therefore, regardless of who you're attacking, this favors the players closest to your right over the unfortunates to your left.

I'm gonna play this in my Damia deck, mostly because I have a huge obsession with using decks that focus on discard and extractor, and in that deck there's a side-focus on group discard and game suppression using discard.. Here I have a decent flier, that causes group discard (use alongside Geth's Grimoire for further abuse).
I honestly don't know how I'm going to test this, because its no one will even play it anymore.. :|

@HuntingDrake:
If you check the rulings while cards are chosen in turn order they aren't revealed until everyone has chosen.
