I've heard people say this is too inconsistent to be a good Mind Control effect. I'd say yes, HOWEVER, it's a flexible card. You can also use it as a worse Undying Evil. I think it gives you enough options that it's playable, even in standard.

(I'm tempted to run a couple in a control deck with kill spells)

Well Hi there, Sun Titan! Look who's even more annoying to get rid of?

Good in removal decks, put it on a big fat juicy mamma your opponent just cast and kill it. And say " Now how do you like them apples"

I'm glad that gone are the days when Magic had to worry about upsetting squeamish parents.

I mean, if you had to pick a card that would cause an uproar and to convince parents that playing Magic would make children start worshipping the Devil, I think a card called Unhallowed Pact that shows a demon dragging a corpse out of the ground would be a solid choice.

Though, I think Zombie tits could also cause an uproar.

So much fun particularly when you have a powerful creature that is causing problems for your opponent. Do not b fooled. This is a very playable card.

Keep in mind that this resets the number of counters on an undying creature when it triggers, giving it a total of four lives to go through- unlike Undying Evil, which if played on something that already has undying does diddly-squat.
