oof, am I happy about the new art!
The last one was some kind of massacre against Cobalt Golem (not sure why, though).
This one has Sorin goin' all Gran Torino on them Vamp's, saying, "GET THE F**K OUT OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD!".
4/5 for some great EDH action.
EDIT: I know why Cobalt Golem is being sacrificed... and I don't blame them (First Barter in Blood from Mirrodin set) :S

The art is pretty awesome, and I don't even really like Sorin.
There's just something about a person that's just casually kills swarms of vampires like they're strolling through a garden.

Black Cat.
Viridian Emissary
Solemn Simulacrum.
Or even a deck without creatures.

So I'm not the only one who plays Demon tribal.
Turn 1- Typhoid Rats
Turn 2- Blood Artist
Turn 3- Soulcage Fiend
Turn 4- Attack with Fiend, Barter in Blood, sac Rats and Fiend, likely gain 1 life overall.
End of turn 4: Opponent is at 10, player is at 21. Proceed to play bigger threats- Desecration Demon and Demonlord of Ashmouth (sacrificing it to itself for it's first life, hopefully with a second rat) are both good for turn 5 plays, especially with the Blood Artist still alive.

@SolomonRedfang You should read Demonlord of Ashmouth again, that's not how he works.

Great card, didn't like old art.
People here keep squabbling about card advantage.
Couple of things: This played either in the right deck say undying, LTB effects, or small creatures like Blood Artist or tokens, this will hurt your opponent much more than it will hurt you and has good potential for card advantage. If you sac one of your creatures with undying, you went up a card. If they sac a creature with an Aura, you went up a card.
As for Diabolic Edict never creating card advantage? Don't be so narrow sighted. It is instant speed, I can't count the number of times I've used an Edict effect in response to either an instant or sorcery buff, or an Aura, my favorite being Rancor. It stays in the graveyard since it wasn't attached when the creature died. Food for thought.
