Love it when they give commons mythic-level artwork.
This is the type of card a non-Magic player would see while walking by a table and immediately be interested in the action.
Great job, Wizards.

This card has begun to be called the "Limited Baneslayer" in my group. While this may be an overstatement, it is certainly a house.

A wonderful pauper card.

Why play this over baneslayer? Maybe because it comes out a turn earlier. Maybe because baneslayer is hella expensive and this is not. Maybe because baneslayer is not in standard. Maybe you just don't like baneslayer. Personally I'd rather take a good ol serra angel. Vigilance > Lifelink for me.
But assuming you have a playset of baneslayers, why not play this alongside baneslayer?

This is a really solid card. Probably my steadiest performer at prerelease. Excellent blocker, attacker, and all-around creature, and very fair for the cost. This is the type of common that can fill out many decks.

Practically won me a draft. Takes a while to end the game, but definitely impacts the board pretty seriously.

Even boys got to shout. (Sorry, I'm sure that joke's been made a million times.)
She has a big enough butt to hold off 3/3 angels, which are very common in AVR. Lifegain and extra toughness are both very nice while I Amass The Components, looking for Avacyn.
And she can trade with a Silverblade Paladin and gain you two life! Which is not so good, but Silverblade Paladins are scary.

Won me a draft. A fun partner for Wolfir Silverheart.
